Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 August 2026

These terms govern your use of this website and any design engagement with Solene Atelier, Nyhavn 31, 1051 Copenhagen, Denmark. By submitting an inquiry or commissioning our services, you agree to the terms below.

Scope of services

Solene Atelier provides interior design, spatial planning, styling and art direction, and renovation consulting for private residences, boutique hotels, and restaurant interiors. The specific deliverables, schedule, and fees for each project are defined in a written proposal and agreement signed by both parties. Only the signed agreement — not this page or any preliminary conversation — defines the scope of an engagement.

Proposals and engagement

Submitting the inquiry form does not create a contract or an obligation on either side. Proposals are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Work begins once the agreement is signed and the initial payment has been received.

Payment terms

Unless the agreement states otherwise, fees are invoiced in Danish kroner (DKK): 40% on signing, 40% at the midpoint milestone defined in the proposal, and 20% on delivery. Invoices are payable within 14 days. Late payments accrue interest in accordance with the Danish Interest Act, and we may pause work on overdue accounts. Third-party costs — furniture, materials, contractors — are billed separately and are subject to the suppliers' own terms.

Cancellation and rescheduling

Either party may end an engagement with 14 days' written notice. In that case, we invoice for all work completed and non-recoverable costs committed up to the end date; any prepaid amounts beyond that are refunded. Payments for completed project phases are non-refundable. Client-requested pauses longer than 60 days may require a revised schedule and updated pricing.

Intellectual property

Drawings, concepts, and design documents remain the intellectual property of Solene Atelier. On full payment, you receive a licence to use the deliverables for the project they were created for. We may photograph completed projects for our portfolio unless the agreement states otherwise.

Liability

We perform our services with professional care and skill. Our total liability for any engagement is limited to the design fees paid for that engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the work of contractors and suppliers we do not employ, or for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Danish law, including liability for gross negligence or intent.

Website use

The content of this website — text, photography, and design — belongs to Solene Atelier or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. The site is provided as-is, and we may change its content at any time.

Governing law

These terms and any engagement with Solene Atelier are governed by Danish law. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts, with the City Court of Copenhagen as the agreed venue.
